Find an inpatient rehabilitation hospital
A rehab hospital is for people who need a lot of therapy after a stroke, a brain or spine injury, a broken hip, or a new joint. Search by ZIP to see the closest ones Medicare approves. Nothing here is paid placement.
Rehab hospital vs. nursing-home rehab
A rehab hospital gives about three hours of therapy a day, most days of the week. A doctor checks in often. Rehab in a nursing home is less intense and often lasts longer.
Who it is for
It is for people who need two or more kinds of therapy, like physical and speech therapy. They must be able to handle hours of it each day. Ask your doctor and the hospital if Medicare will pay for the stay.
No overall star rating
Medicare does not give rehab hospitals an overall star rating. It only compares each one with the national average, one measure at a time. So we list them by distance or A to Z. We never rank them.
