Terms of Use
Effective September 12, 2026
By using PlanScout, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What PlanScout is (and isn’t)
PlanScout is a free, independent informational tool. We are not an insurance company, insurance agency, or licensed insurance agent or broker, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Medicare, CMS, or any insurance company or plan. Plan information is derived from public use files published by CMS. We do not offer, sell, or endorse any plan, and we do not offer every plan available in your area.
Not advice
The information, comparisons, estimates, and chat responses on PlanScout are for general educational purposes only and are not insurance, medical, legal, tax, or financial advice. Cost estimates are illustrations based on CMS data and standard assumptions (for example, 30-day preferred copays and monthly premiums); your actual costs, coverage, provider networks, prior-authorization and quantity-limit rules, and drug pricing may differ. Always confirm details directly with the plan or a licensed agent before making any enrollment decision.
Connecting with a licensed agent
If you choose to request a callback, you may be contacted by a licensed insurance agent or agency. Any consent you give (including consent to autodialed or pre-recorded calls/texts under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act) is described at the point of collection and in our Privacy Policy, is optional, and can be withdrawn. PlanScout is not responsible for the advice, conduct, or plans of any third-party agent.
Acceptable use
Use PlanScout only for your own lawful, personal use. Do not scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, or misuse the site, submit others’ information without authority, or enter sensitive identifiers (such as your Social Security number or full Medicare/MBI number) into the chat.
No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that plan data is current or error-free; CMS public files may be incomplete or out of date.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PlanScout and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any decision you make based on the site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold PlanScout harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the site or violation of these Terms.
Governing law & changes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. We may update these Terms; continued use after an update means you accept the change.
